Getting Involved

GOAT

Georgetown Outdoor Adventure Training (GOAT) is a semester long course that provides instruction for student leaders. Following a selection process, successful applicants attend classes covering wilderness curriculum including lessons on outdoor cuisine, back-country navigation, knots, problem solving activities, discussions on the art of leadership, Leave No Trace principles and wilderness first aid. There will be a focus on student-teaching. Upon completion of the semester, participants will have the necessary skills to lead other students in the outdoors.

Please come by Basecamp in Village C East 473 for more information and an application. Classes begin early in the semester, so come soon!
